The photo shows a commercial aircraft interior liner component made of ULTUM9085, a V0-rated flame retardant material, which is able to meet the requirements for use in aircraft test flights, and is designed to have a thickness of 2.5mm, which greatly shortens the development cycle of interior solutions.
ULTEM™ 9085 resin filament is a PEI (polyetherimide) thermoplastic FDM material. It has a high strength-to-weight ratio, high heat resistance (153°C) and chemical resistance, and meets multiple aerospace and railroad industry standards for V0-rated flame, smoke and toxicity (FST) properties. It meets more stringent testing standards and has traceability from the plastic filament to the raw material lot number record.
